Service Society in Belgaum district. A suitable place was found in
Chikodi Taluk for the same. It was in 2004 St. Francis of Assisi School
was opened in Chikodi as a unit of CFSS. With the permission from the
block education officer on 25/09/2004 a kannada medium school was
started under the name St. Francis of Assisi School, Mirjikodi. Having
upgraded to the next standard gradually the school reached 5th std in
It was in 2008 that a permission was sought to change the medium from
Kannada to English. A permission was sought from the education
commissioner and granted by the district public instruction office in
Dharwad. However, in view of ICSE affiliation, the school syllabus was
changed over from
the state Board to the ICSE. As per the rules and
regulations of the ICSE board, a NOC was
required from the state
Government. Accordingly, after the procedure, a NOC from state
government was received on 9th June 2009. Immediately, the process was
started in the month of October 2009 to affiliated to the ICSE board in
At last, the same was obtained on 12/10/2011. The provisional
affiliation was obtained in May 2012. The first batch of the school has
passed out the council exam in the Month of May, 2014.
